Kin Kariisa is the Chairman Board of Directors of Nile Hotel International Ltd, a government-owned enterprise that manages Kampala Serena Hotel concession.
Kin is also the Executive Chairman of Kin Group Ltd, a holding company that runs several companies in Media, Information Technology, Telecoms, and Real Estate & Construction.
He is the current Chairman of the National Association of Broadcasters. An umbrella organization for all Radio, Television, and Digital broadcasters in Uganda
He is a Director of Eco Bank Uganda Limited; Eco Bank is a leading Pan-African bank in more than 35 African countries
Kin also seats the boards of Eco Bank Uganda, NBS Television, Dmark Mobile, Soliton Telmec, Dream Catcher Ltd, Build World Limited, Cayman Consults and Screen Media Limited.
Kin Kariisa has worked in the Technology and Media Industry for over 19 years. He previously worked as a Special Presidential Advisor on Information Communication Technology to the President of the Republic of Uganda.
Kin is a graduate of Makerere University in Kampala where he earned a Bachelors Degree in Statistics, Huazong University of Science and Technology, China where he completed a Masters in Computer Engineering and holds an MBA from the United States International University, Nairobi, Kenya.
Kin did PhD research in Computer Security& Identity Management at Security of Systems Group, Radbond University in Nigmegen – The Netherlands.
Previously, he served as a lecturer of e-Government and Information Security to graduate students at Makerere University, Kampala and Radbond University in the Netherlands.
